Heavenly Patchwork, a paradise for all quilters!

Quilter's Trail April 2010     Join in the fun and friendship - gather a group of friends and set out on a journey to Nine of the best Southeast Queensland quilt shops. From April 1st to 30th each shop will be on the lookout for Quilt ‘Trailers’ - carrying your special passport will ensure you receive the VIP treatment. You need to arrange a passport so you’ll be ready to go in April. Passports will be available after the 15th March at your local participating shop. You have until the end of April to complete your tour of all Nine shops. At each shop when you make a purchase you get your passport stamped and when you spend $10 or more you even receive a FREE GIFT. Once you’ve finished the Quilters Trail and collected all the passport stamps you’ll be entered into the prize draw - with prizes worth thousands of $ and more. There’s always plenty of fun and surprises to be had on the Quilter’s Trail. To finalize the event and draw the prizes, come to the Quilters Trail Muster in May. Join with other trail blazers at our Quilters Muster on the 16th May, at the Gatton Historical Village, Freemans Rd, Gatton from 10am. Receive free entry into the Historical Village and enjoy a day of prizes and good company as we turn back the clock to “the good old days”. The folk from Gatton Historical Society will be cooking camp oven lunch, damper, tea & coffee and cold drinks to purchase on the day or you can bring your own lunch. And of course, the village buildings will be open for you to browse. Don’t forget to dress up! You will also receive free entry to the Retrospective Quilt Show held in the Gatton Shire Hall, North St, Gatton. View the world’s largest hexagon quilt and the meet the tutors of the inaugural ‘TASA—The Australian School of Appliqué.’ It will be a great day out for all the family! .
Daisy Dreams     Julie McKenzie has designed a great Cot Size or Queen Bed Sized quilt that uses Fat 1/4’s and is easy to cut out and make. We have made it in some fresh cream and white fabrics that are very popular. We have some kits made up in the cot size that includes the pattern for only $65. This is one of those patterns that you could make in any colour range and it would look fantastic. One customer is making it Queen size in the new Flannel range of pretty pink/cream and green fabrics that have just arrived. This is going to be lovely. The pattern gives the fabric requirements for Cot size and Queen Bed Size for only $16. Another great book out by Julie Mckenzie is called Not Quite White. This has lots of cushions, table runners, wall hangings and quilt patterns inside. It show the designs off in creams and whites as well as pinks and whites and green and whites. All very fresh looking. Lots of projects in one book that is handy to have for only $32

And much more...
